How It All Started
Rescue-A-Plan(e)t was founded in 2023 by students Alicia Yan and Hebbe Yuan, driven by our shared love for nature and concern for the environment. Inspired by the negative impacts of invasive species on local biodiversity, we set out to make a difference. Our organization repurposes residual invasive plant material into eco-friendly products, turning an environmental challenge into an opportunity for positive change. Through our efforts, we aim to raise awareness and generate funds to support biodiversity conservation. Join us in our mission to make a difference, one plant at a time!
MEET THE FOUNDERS
Hebbe Yuan & Alicia Yan
Hello! We're Alicia Yan and Hebbe Yuan, the founders of Rescue-A-Plan(e)t. We love spending time in nature, whether it's taking walks in the woods or gardening. We also share a passion for exploring the wide array of scents at Bath and Body Works. However, this also made us recognize the need for sustainable consumerism and the protection of biodiversity. Thus, we decided to combine these passions and create Rescue-A-Plan(e)t, where we repurpose invasive plant materials into eco-friendly products, including candles!
